Our journey began when Andy, with a strong background in project management within the construction industry, and Richard, an experienced IT professional since 1998, combined their expertise to create a services company focused on helping businesses grow.

Richard’s career started in the UK at Northgate Information Solutions, supporting enterprise IT systems across multiple sites and technologies such as Citrix Metaframe. After returning to South Africa in 2005, he launched his own IT support business, working with home users and small businesses, gradually expanding into larger clients and long-term service relationships.

Andy brought his strengths in project delivery and business operations, and together they officially launched AI-MATE (AIM) in early 2025. Andy has been project managing construction projects for the last 20 years, and this wealth of experience in handling the ups and downs of the construction industry brings invaluable skills to assist our clients manage any project we undertake to help with. 

Kiara has a passion for social media and marketing using the tools available. Because of this she decided to study Digital Marketing, and she is using that passion, and lessons to run the marketing department for AIM Business Partners. Kiara matriculated at the end of 2023 and started studying Digital Marketing Degree later in 2024. We asked Kiara to run our marketing department to gain experience and to give her the opportunity to open a  department in her vision.
